Purchasing mp3's is a four steps process. [1] Start by making your selection on the mp3 shop page. When you're done, verify the contents of your shopping cart. Once you click “secure checkout,” PayPal takes over for the second step. [2] Complete your transaction with your preferred payment method, then check your e-mail. [3] You will receive a confirmation e-mail from PayPal, and one from me. The latter will contain your account information for workbench-music.com. [4] For the final step, follow the link in the e-mail. A workbench-music.com account has been automatically created for you while you were finishing up with Paypal. Log in, and start downloading!
How long will my downloads be available?
Your purchased mp3's will be available for a period of 15 days, or for 10 downloads (i.e. you download the file 10 times), whichever ends first.
I checked my e-mail but there was nothing there?
The confirmation e-mail may have been filtered and quarantined by your SPAM filter. Check your e-mail program's junk or spam folder, if you have one. If your payment through PayPal is delayed for whatever reason (slower payment method, etc.), it will also delay the confirmation e-mail that you receive from me. You will not receive a password from workbench-music.com until your transaction with PayPal is complete.
All mp3's have been encoded in full stereo with a constant bitrate of 224 kbps, 16bit resolution and a 44.1 khz sample rate. I chose the mp3 format to ensure maximum compatibility with the current crop of software and audio players. I will look at other options if and when support for formats like AAC & OGG Vorbis widens.
Do you use any form of Digital Rights Management (DRM)?
No. The only restrictions in place here are the limits put on the downloads themselves, which I think are pretty generous already. So yes, you are free to share these files with your friends and across as many computers or devices as you like. I would, however, be very grateful if you let your friends know about this website.
